Located in the southern part of the campus, positioned along the Campusallee, the compact building integrates naturally into the existing built environment. The transparent ground‑floor zone creates a visual and spatial connections across the campus, linking the building, research activities, and the main circulation routes with campus life.

At the centre of the building lies a planted courtyard serving both as a retreat and as a place for communication. Laboratories and office areas are arranged in a ring around it, connected by open sightlines and central communication zones extending across all storeys. This spatial logic makes interdisciplinary exchange palpable and creates a strong identity.

The ground floor opens towards the campus with a generous foyer that serves as an inviting space for events and interaction. On the upper storeys, laboratories and offices are arranged level by level and linked through communicative floor centres. Seminar rooms and workshops complement the interdisciplinary programme. Short distances, flexible uses, and clear zoning define the organisational structure.

The courtyard and roof terrace extend the communication zones outdoors. Planted façades, retention areas, and water features improve the microclimate and create high‑quality places to spend time. Green roofs and rainwater reuse contribute to stormwater management and resource conservation.
